Custard Doughnuts!!!
Doughnut: seemingly innocent, yet silently deadly.
I'm not against donuts, not really. Nor am I against custard. I'm just against all the FAT and CALORIES that come stuffed into these little packages of... FAT. Think about it. You fry a batter, then you squeeze in an emulsion of egg yolks (cholesterol), and sugar into it. Then it goes inside you. And then it stays there, making your adipose cells nice and happy.
Trust me, they don't look this neat and nice.. when you're in your bikinis.
So how can you substitute this 235 kcal, 16 g fat don(u)'t for something healthier, but equally as delicious?
I call it the Pudding Toast!!!
PUDDING TOAST
Get:
1 Slice of Whole Grain Bread (I got mine from Cub Market, it's like 5 meal points for the whole bag >_<)
1/2 Jell-O Sugar-Free Pudding Snack Pack (Get whatever flavor you want)
1. Put a slice of bread over a mug and microwave it for a minute.
2. Flip your toast over and let it microwave for 30 more seconds. (If you like your toast crispier, let it work for a minute =D)
3. Spread the pudding as you would with any other jam.

Now you might think: this is stupid. Even I could have thought of this. The fact here is, who goes around eating pudding toast for lunch? hmmm? >_< That's the beauty of this recipe. So simple, even a college student can do it.
Okay, so it won't have the round, heart-warming shape a donut has, or the satisfaction you get from biting into a fresh out of the frier, oil-dripping donut. But it gets rid of my cravings sufficiently to the point where I won't sneak out of my dorm room at 1 in the morning after studying for Chem 3A to go down to King Pin Donuts. And then getting myself a few hundred extra calories that my body didn't need. Remember, donut = empty calories!!
Are you ready for the healtheir version's calorie tally?
0.5 Snack Cup
30 kcal
0.75 g fat
1 Slice of Whole Grain Bread
80 kcal
1.5 g fat
That comes out to be 110 kcal, and 2.25 g fat per serving. Not bad, if I say so myself. That gives you enough calories left over for the second slice to "get rid" of your remaining snack cup of pudding.
